Crowns in Dublin

If your tooth has broken off or you want to improve its appearance, you may need a crown. First of all, your dentist will trim down the tooth to get it ready to take the crown. Then over the course of one or sometimes two visits, a crown is fitted.

Nacera Crowns

Crowns are available in many materials such as gold and porcelain but we use Nacera.
Nacera is manufactured from yttrium-stabilised zirconium dioxide for specific use in dental fields. Nacera is used for partial crowns, onlays, inlays, veneers and bridges.

Crowns can be a great option if your tooth has broken down, is cracked, decayed or beyond repair. Your dentist will fit a crown over the top of the decayed tooth which will retain the remains of the tooth but will provide an outer barrier against bacteria. Think of it as structural

A tooth that has very little structure may be built back up again using filling. The procedure usually entails a small local anaesthetic. After the final shaping of the tooth, your dentist will talk to you about the Nacera material with you. Size and shape will be discussed also.
