If one of your teeth has been chipped or a corner has broken off, you may need a veneer. Designed to address cosmetic issues, a veneer is a very thin layer of porcelain (about the thickness of a fingernail) that is affixed to the front of the affected tooth.
Veneers can be used to improve the apearrance of your smile. You will start by your dentist giving you a proffessional opinion on what the best cost effective treatment is for you. Veneers usually take 2 visits. The first visit visit will entail your dentist will prepare your teeth so the veneers can adhere to your teeth. He will also take a mould of your teeth which is sent away where the veneers are prepared for you.
The second visit will entail your dentist fitting your veneers in place.
